Construction Phase
Subject to securing planning permission it is hoped that construction of the new school will commence Autumn/Winter 2025/2026. The construction phase is expected to take 18 months with the school anticipated to open for the start of the school term in September 2027.
The contractor Galliford Try are highly experienced at delivering complex construction projects in sensitive locations and they are members of the Considerate Contractors Scheme.
A Construction and Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) will be prepared and submitted in support of the planning application. The CEMP will set out full details of how the school will be built and the steps that will be taken to minimise the impact of development on the local community. The plan below provides further details in respect of how the construction phase will be undertaken.
